Get Moving!

I am so excited to “Get Moving” again! In February, I went in for my yearly mammogram and this time around things got a little lumpy. After surgery and a successful recovery, I got the green light to exercise again.

I love to workout, its been part of my life since I was an athlete in high school and then I went on to study Exercise Physiology and Nutrition in college. Being active is so important for both your physical and mental health – I feel like myself again! I really believe in changing the modality of your workout every few days so that it keeps your body and muscles alert and piqued, not to mention it keeps me from getting bored. Today, I am sharing a few of my favorite ways to get “Get Moving” and my active-wear essentials.

I am also counting down to my birthday and getting back in to my daily exercise routines. I’m coming for you April!

  • Bond Fitness CrossFit - This is so much more than a Cross Fit gym and my trainer, Jenny Schatzle, is so much more than an trainer. Bond has created the first community-based group fitness program that supports and encourages anyone looking to feel better while getting fit.

  • I LOVE the elliptical! We have one at home and I always use it when I travel at hotel gyms. Even if I have the craziest day, there’s always time for 20 minutes on the elliptical. Sometimes, I even do work while I am on the elliptical. Talk about multi-tasking!

  • I love being outside, so whenever I have a change to walk or run during the day it is an immediate stress reliever. Since I travel so much it is also a great way to discover new cities

  • SoulCycle is workout I treat myself to from time to time. Being in the dark room with the loud music and community of riders around you gives off the best energy and leaves you full of life the rest of the day.

  • Yoga centers me. It allows me to meditate, reflect, stretch, challenge and reward my body.
